Profile

Carole Mohr

Carole Mohr I first left my home country of Great Britain in 1980 to gain work experience in Paris; following my studies, I worked as a secretary and office assistant for several years in small and large German and American companies in Stuttgart, Brussels and Hamburg before finally settling in Dreieich in the Frankfurt area in 1986 where I still live today.

I have been teaching English for over 25 years and believe that the success of my in-company Business English courses owes a lot to my ability to combine my own work experience in business with my skills in teaching and communication.

From 1997 to 2005 I worked both as a freelance trainer and also as a teacher and course coordinator for the Zentrum für Weiterbildung gGmbH, teaching Business English and examination preparation courses for students of all levels from beginner to advanced. Following this, I branched out as a self-employed Business English trainer, teaching tailor-made in-company group courses and one-to-one courses in several banks and companies in the Rhine-Main area. With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, my training courses went online. Most lessons have remained online via video-conferencing as this has proved to be a very effective alternative method for both trainer and students.

The areas in which I have worked include printing, logistics, gastronomy, financial services, the chemical industry, engineering, power generation and medical diagnostics. In addition I have gained considerable experience teaching students in the retail, sales and customer support industry.
